Tallow is carefully rendered beef suet (we use halal, grass-fed). Its fatty acids closely resemble skin’s natural oils and deliver vitamins A, D, E & K—helping skin feel comfortable, nourished, and resilient.
Most customers find tallow light-feeling and friendly to breakout-prone skin when used correctly: a rice-grain to pea-size on damp skin. Start small, press in gently, and adjust—less is more.
Yes—our unscented formulas are minimal and soothing, designed to support a calm, well-hydrated barrier. Many customers with easily irritated skin tell us their skin feels comfier and less tight.
Our balms smell creamy and earthy—no beef smell. Any natural note is soft and settles quickly after application.
All skin types. Dry or compromised skin loves the comfort; combination and oily skins enjoy a tiny amount over damp skin for a smooth, balanced feel.
After cleansing, mist or dampen skin. Warm a tiny amount between fingers and press into face/neck. Morning: finish with SPF 30+. Night: use as your final comforting step.
Yes—layer light, water-based serums first; treatments next; then a whisper of balm to seal everything in. Daytime, always top with sunscreen.
We use halal-permissible ingredients and halal-sourced beef suet.
Yes - our unscented tallow balm is pregnancy safe. It is simple and gentle, with minimal ingredients and no retinoids or alcohol. Many mums use it for face, belly, and dry spots throughout pregnancy and postpartum. No HORMONE DISRUPTORS and great for fading stretch marks.
Not when used correctly. The trick is damp skin + tiny amount + press. It settles to a soft, comfortable finish that layers well under makeup.
Balms are water-free and concentrated (no preservatives needed), so you use less for more comfort. Lotions are water-based and feel lighter.
We use grass-fed, halal-sourced suet rendered for skincare, paired with thoughtful co-stars like jojoba, beeswax and vitamin E. Our cattle are raised in ethical Australian farms.
Our Unscented Tallow Balm is a simple, multi-use family staple. It’s great for post-bath moisture sealing, nappy area comfort, cradle-cap softening, wind-chapped cheeks, lips, hands, dry patches, and post-swim skin. It smells creamy, earthy—no beef smell. (As always, if you have specific health concerns, we recommend checking with your doctor.)
Absolutely—lips, hands, cuticles, elbows, heels, post-shave—anywhere you want soft, comfortable skin.
Core formula: grass-fed tallow, jojoba oil, beeswax, vitamin E (plus gentle essential oils in scented versions). If you have sensitivities (beef, bee products, or specific botanicals), choose unscented and patch test first.
Yes — you should still wear sunscreen during the day, just like with any moisturiser. Tallow products support your skin barrier, but they don’t block UV rays. Using Tallow won't make you burn faster or more easily than a normal moisturiser — it simply doesn’t act like sunscreen. Layer a clean, mineral SPF over your Tallpw balm if you’re heading outdoors.
Yes, it’s completely normal! Our balms are made with pure, real ingredients — without synthetic stabilisers. You might notice slight texture variations, tiny bubbles, or natural crystallisation on the surface. None of these affect the quality or performance of the product — it’s just nature doing its thing.
Our balms typically last up to 12 months after opening if stored in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed.
Keep your Taloe balms somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight.
Our balms are cosmetic (not medicinal), but many customers with easily-irritated skin say their skin feels calmer, softer and less tight when they use our Unscented formula. Tallow’s skin-mimicking lipids and vitamins (A, D, E & K) help support a comfortable, well-hydrated barrier—which is essential care alongside your clinician’s advice.
